Getting Started

Test accounts can be configured to reflect the services you require on your live account. They can be used in parallel with your live account to allow you to continually improve and upgrade your systems.

We have put together a glossary of terms to help you understand the terminology used in this section.

 

Before Applying for a DataCash Account


To process Credit and Debit Cards you will need one or more Merchant IDs (MIDs) from an Acquiring Bank.

While applying for your Merchant ID, you can apply for a FREE Test Account to test the DataCash Payment Gateway.

Please remember to tell the bank which currencies and card types you will be processing.

  • To process Internet transactions, you will need an e-Commerce MID.

  • To process call centre transactions, you will need a MoTo MID.

  • To process recurring transactions, you will need a Recurring Transactions MID.

  • To process Cardholder Present transactions, you will need a Cardholder Present MID

     

     

To process Direct Debits or Direct Credits you will need an Originator's Identification Number (OIN) from a UK Sponsoring Bank.

The DataCash Payment Gateway is accredited with the following Sponsoring Banks:

To process Direct Debits or Direct Credits, you will need an AUDDIS OIN.

To process Direct Debits or Direct Credits without a signed DD Mandate from each payer, you will need an AUDDIS Paperless OIN.

 

Get a DataCash Test Account


You can apply for a FREE DataCash Test Account without a MID or OIN.

Test accounts can be configured to reflect the services you require on your live account. They can be used in parallel with your live account to allow you to continually improve and upgrade your systems.

The Developers Area contains the technical documentation you need to integrate the DataCash Payment Gateway. It is only accessible to test account holders.

 

Sign Up with DataCash


Once you have received your MID/OIN from your chosen Acquiring/Sponsoring Bank, you can apply for a DataCash account using our Online Application Form.

It takes approximately 5 working days from receipt of your application form to set up your DataCash account. The exact timescale depends on the procedures followed by your chosen Acquiring Bank.

Once your application has been processed, our customer services team will send you the username and password details needed to activate and access your DataCash account. Please keep them secure.
